With a career spanning stadium performances, weddings, private events, recording sessions, and international tours, Edgar has built a reputation as a dynamic musician who blends classical excellence with modern creativity. A Career Rooted in Classical Excellence

Edgar began his musical training primarily as a violinist, with additional studies in piano. Throughout his journey, he has had the privilege of performing under the direction of legendary composers and conductor’s, including John Williams, Alan Silvestri, Kent Nagano, and Michael Tilson-Thomas.

During his time with the American Youth Symphony from 2005 to 2010, Edgar performed alongside internationally recognized soloists such as Plácido Domingo, Sir James Galway, and Sarah Chang, building a strong foundation in orchestral performance and musical excellence.

His achievements include being a Grammy-nominated violinist in 2023 in Los Angeles, CA, for recording strings on ODESZA’s album The Last Goodbye, which was nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album of the Year in 2023.

Edgar’s classical training has also shaped his approach to collaboration, interpretation, and musical storytelling. His experience across orchestral and recording environments has allowed him to work with musicians from diverse backgrounds while maintaining the discipline and precision developed through years of classical study. Whether performing in a concert hall or contributing to a studio recording, he brings the same commitment to musicality, detail, and expressive performance.

Since beginning his professional career in 2000, Edgar has collaborated and performed with some of the biggest names in music, including Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Dr. Dre, Deadmau5, ODESZA, Aloe Blacc, OneRepublic, the Foo Fighters, P. Diddy, Luis Miguel, Marco Antonio Solís, Burt Bacharach, Natalie Cole, Stanley Clarke, and many others.

His ability to adapt across many musical styles has made him a sought-after performer for major productions, live shows, recordings, and special events.

International Performances and Touring

Edgar’s talent has taken him around the world. After being invited by violin master Dr. Nabil Azzam to tour the Middle East, Edgar later became concertmaster of his orchestra, performing in countries including Jordan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman.

He continues to share his artistry internationally through collaborations and tours, including performances throughout Southeast Asia with acclaimed pianist and virtuoso Giovanni Marradi.

His versatility as a musician has also led to many spectacle performances, such as the Super Bowl 2026 half-time show with superstar Bad Bunny, the Super Bowl violinist, in 2026 in Los Angeles, CA, showcasing his ability to also perform large-scale televised entertainment specials with a long list of A-list stars.

Today, Edgar Sandoval continues to create music as a recording artist, composer, and music producer while residing in Los Angeles. His work reflects his diverse influences, combining classical training with a modern and dense background in all ethnic music genres.

Edgar’s dedication to his craft is also reflected in owning a wide collection of fine instruments, including an exquisite violin by the Italian maker Riccardo Antoniazzi, Milan, 1885.
